Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Chetwynd, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of April 22, 2024 , This project has been awarded to West Horizon Contracting, with the awarded amount of $9,137,636.48.** The Ministry o Transportation and Infrastructure will be replacing Fisher Creek Bridge No. 7117 which includes approximately 1 km of highway reconstruction, channel widening, riprap placement, entrainment berm construction, and environmental restoration. The existing 18.3 m long, two-span concrete box girder superstructure, and timber substructure will be removed to facilitate a new 38 m long single-span steel girder bridge. An off alignment detour will be required including but not limited to engineering design. Project Location - The Project is located on Highway 97 approximately 52 km west of the District of Chetwynd. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. Construction documents for this project are copyright of the Province of British Columbia.
