The bid will not be awarded until the Regular Commission Meeting on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. The award will be posted on the GPR website by the close of business that day.** The project includes the resurfacing of Wadley Coleman Lake Road for 6.74 miles from McGarrh Mill Road to State Route 56 and Piney Grove Road for 0.07mile from McGarrh Mill Road to Wadley Coleman Lake Road. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. All work to be performed under this project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. Emanuel County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder whom the Owner believes would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
