Construction of a cycle-pedestrian bridge to connect the two parts of the City separated by Sit-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard (Road 116) and the Canadian National Railway Company railway. The scope of work includes the construction of the bridge, development of rises and approaches, burying of electrical wires and other services. TIMELINE: The owner is moving forward with the project to build a pedestrian and cycling bridge over Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard (Route 116), following a public consultation on active transportation habits and the choice of location. Project is temporary on hold pending required approvals, funding confirmation and the owner's decision to proceed. Timelines of further project development are not finalized. Further update in mid- to late 2026.
