Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Oldtown, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Allegany County is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services to prepare a design, including site plans and specifications, to construct a new package secondary treatment system adjacent to the existing Oldtown Wastewater Treatment Plant. The existing plant was originally constructed in1980, and several key components are reaching the end of their useful life. The WWTP is permitted for an average daily flow of 0.04 mgd. Refer to the attached Scope of Services and Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for proposal requirements and information about the proposed project. Note that the project is proceeding with Alternative 3 in the PER.
