Renovation of a water / sewer project in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project consists of upgrading the radio communication system of the Dod.ge Park radio repeater. The Dod.ge Park radio repeater system connects Division of Sewerage & Drainage (DOSD) sites in the downtown area to the Sewer Maintenance Operations Center (SMOC) for monitoring and control, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). This project includes work at 11 DOSD radio sites. All questions concerning this project are to reference the project number and the project name and be sent to DPUConstructionBids@columbus.gov. No phone calls concerning questions about the bid will be accepted. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the IFB. Responses will be posted on online as an addendum. After the formal meeting, interested bidders will be provided an opportunity to visit the work areas at SMOC followed by a visit to ST-26 Dod.ge Park Stormwater Pump Station located at 665 Sullivant Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43204. All bid documents (Invitation for Bid, technical specifications, plans, and future addenda) will be available for review and download online. This project is not subject to the requirements of the City's MBE/WBE Program. The MBE/WBE goal assigned to this project is 0.0%. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible, and best bidder. City certified MBE/WBE firms that submit a bid may be eligible to receive a bid discount of 5% of the bid amount up to a maximum discount of $50,000.00. To be eligible for the bid discount, the firm must: Be the prime contractor. Be certified by the City's Office of Diversity and Inclusion as an MBE/WBE capable of providing the type of construction services sought by the City at the bid due date. Be a member of the ethnic and gender groups determined by the City's 2019 Disparity Study to have a statistically significant disparity in the awarding of City construction contracts. (The eligible groups for Construction IFB's are all City certified MBE/WBE firms except Hispanic American Male firms.) Submit a completed Bid Discount/Proposal Incentive Request Form with the bid response through website. Questions pertaining to this Invitation For Bid must be submitted by February 13, 2024 by 3 P.M. SA - 13 Park Combination Pump Station - 585 Sullivant Avenue, Columbus Ohio 7. ST - 22 W. Long Street & Hocking Storm Pump Station - 449 West Long Street, Columbus Ohio 8. ST - 23 Long and Neil Storm Pump Station - 279 West Long Street, Columbus Ohio 9. ST - 26 Park Storm Pump Station and Park Repeater - 665 Sullivant Avenue, Columbus Ohio 10. ST26 Park Storm Pump Station and Radio Repeater - Replacement of radio and cellular systems, upgrade of local network and fiber optic extension to connect to existing city-wide fiber systems. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes upgrading the radio communication system of the Park radio repeater. The Park radio repeater system connects DOSD sites in the downtown area to SMOC for monitoring and control. The Work, described in general, will be located at the following locations: 1.
