Renovation of a municipal facility in La Fargeville, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Attention Scott Soules,ssoules@gymodpc.com The proposed project involves the complete renovation of an existing square footage mixed use building including updated mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, and site work. Work includes significant demolition of existing interior finishes, partitions, stairs, and MEP systems. Exterior work includes demolition of facade materials including windows and doors, roofing, wooden loading dock, concrete ramp and stairs and other items as indicated in the contract documents. Demolition work will include asbestos abatement, see attached testing reports. New work consists of interior partitions, interior finishes, casework, stairs, and MEP systems. New exterior work includes construction of a concrete loading dock, concrete ramp, and stairs, exterior facade materials including windows, doors, storefronts, siding, awnings, roofing, and other items as indicated in the contract documents. The completed project will have (5) commercial spaces including the local United States Postal Service (USPS) on the first floor and (4) residential spaces on the second floor. Site work associated with this project shall include general site preparation, utility locations, construction stakeout, and coordination of the work activities with local utility providers, the Town of Orleans DWP, and the NYS DOT. Work shall also include Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with NYSDOT Standards and Specifications. The project will also include the excavation and disposal of all asphalt, concrete, topsoil, gravel, subbase, and other onsite materials as indicated in the contract documents. New work includes the placement, grading, and associated compaction and testing of gravel, subbase, topsoil, asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete pavement, concrete curbing, and other associated work as indicated in the drawings. Work for this project also entails the procurement, installation, and associated testing of the HDPE water service piping, curb stop, corporation stop, water meter, HDPE storm piping, associated utility trenching and backfill, and other associated utility work as depicted in the drawings. Site restoration is also included, as well as all other work depicted in the contract documents. It is required that all Bidders visit the site and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the conditions of the work. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing and will be accepted until one week before the bid opening. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of ten percent (10%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of 5% of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000, However the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form.
