Description of Work the Work of This Section Consists of the Application of a Crack Filling Bituminous Pavement With Fiber Asphalt in Accordance With Special Provision Lr 451 on the Various Roads Listed in This Proposal. Engineer Notification the Contractor Shall Notify the Lee County Highway Department (815-857-4141) No Less Than (3) Business Days Prior to the Beginning of Work on Any Roadway. Schedule Limitations This Work Shall Be Completed on or Before September 01, 2024. Failure to Complete the Contract Work on or Before September 01, 2024 Will Result in Fines Being Assessed in Accordance With Article 108.09. Traffic Control Traffic Control Shall Meet Idot Standards 701306-04 and 701901-08. All Costs for Traffic Control Including Labor, Equipment and Material Shall Be Considered Incidental to This Section. Keeping the Road Open to Traffic the Contractor Shall Keep the Road Open to Traffic Except When Required by Construction Activities. During a Closure, the Contractor Shall Only Close One Lane of Traffic at a Given Time. the Engineer May Adjust the Road Closure Requirements at Their Discretion to Meet Construction and/or Local Site Conditions. the Contractor Shall Provide Flaggers to Control Traffic During the Lane Closures. the Cost of the Flaggers Shall Be Considered Incidental to This Section. Prosecution of Work the Engineer, at Their Discretion, May Increase the Quantity of Fiber-asphalt at the Accepted Proposal Unit Price if It is Necessary to Complete the Proposed Roads Listed in This Project. the Contractor Shall Report to the Engineer How Much Crack Filling Quantity (in Pounds) is Used on Each Road of the County and Townships Separately. Tracking Quantities the Contractor Shall Keep Track of the Amount of Material Being Used for Each Agency (I.e. County and Each Township) and Report the Amount Used for Each Agency at the End of Each Day to the Engineer. the Contractor Shall Provide Both the Oil Tickets and Pictures of the Fiber Bags. the Contractor Shall Write on the Fiber Bags, the Date the Bags Were Used, the Number of Bags Used, the Total Weight of the Fiber Used for Those Bags, and the Agency They Were Used for. Failure to Document the Quantities Properly May Result in Delay of or Loss of Payment to the Contractor. if the Amount of Material Required Appears That It Will Exceed the Estimated Amount for a Particular Agency, the Contractor Shall Notify the Engineer Immediately to Determine What Course of Action Will Be Taken.
