Contract term: One (1) Year The State University of New York at Stony Brook is requesting a quote to install a two-tier steel platform with ship ladder access at AHU 1 & 2 outside the indoor practice facility under its discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law Section 355(5)(a) which is up to $125,000.00 for the above referenced service. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to fabricate, and install new two-tier steel mezzanine and ladders at AHU 1 & 2 outside the indoor practice facility as per site visit and field dimensions taken. 1. All fabrications will be made in accordance with field dimensions and approved shop drawings. 2. Platform stringers will be fabricated from 10 x 8.4 channels. 3. Ladder rails will be fabricated form 2"x3/8' steel flats. 4. Ladder rungs will be fabricated from a 3/4 " flat bar. 5. Vertical posts will be fabricated from 4"x4"x3/16" HSS. 6. Platform decking will be fabricated from 3/16" diamond plate. 7. All Guardrails and handrails will be fabricated from 1-1/4" (1.66 OD) schedule 40 pipe. 8. The stair treads will be GW-125 19-W-4 11"x36" galvanized treads. 9. All treads will be mechanically fastened. 10. All base plates will be 10"x10"x1/4" with four 1/2 " holes to accept 3/8" expansion anchors. 11. We include concrete footings for posts and all base plates where required. 12. We include all hardware required for installation. 13. All welds will be ground smooth. 14. All steel will be primed and painted battleship gray and rails will be safety yellow. We have two identical units that require this two-tier mezzanine for service.
