Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,000-square-foot, two-story above grade fitness / recreation center.
Questions Due Date: Feb 13th 2024, 11:30 PM EST Project Description: The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, for the renovation of the Pembroke Pines Recreation Center Concession Stand at the referenced location in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. 1. Renovations to existing building per the design documents including but not limited to the below items 2. Contractor shall be responsible to remove all debris from the site daily. 3. Contractor must not allow materials and debris generated daily to be disposed of in an illegal manner. 4. Demolish as required to accomplish work. All required demolition shall be included in the base bid package submitted by the contractor. 5. The contractor must be careful to maintain security alarms, etc. for all parts of items to remain. 6. Contractor shall take proper care to protect and close off work area as required for normal facility operation. 7. Building may be in use during the demolition. 8. Demolition of existing structures and openings. Please refer to window and door schedule on plans. 9. Demolition of a portion of the existing concrete sidewalk and prepare for new surfaces, as noted per plan 10. Existing equipment to remain, be protected and kept in safe condition during renovations 11. Existing Thru-wall screened vent block to be removed and filled with CMO, stucco patched and painted to match existing. 12. Renovation of 13. Interior/exterior painting color and finish, to match existing as noted per plan 14. Supply and install ceramic tile as noted on plan. Type, color, and pattern to be provided by the City upon award. 15. Supply and install vinyl base 16. Supply and install all mechanical related items as noted on the drawings included but not limited to exhaust fans, duct work, vents, etc. 17. Supply and install all electrical related items as noted on the drawings included but not limited to light fixtures, outlets, smoke detectors, exit signs, motorized roll-up units, electrical fixtures etc. 18. Supply and install all plumbing related items as noted on the drawings included but not limited, piping, drains, vanities, partitions, toilets, sinks, plumbing fixtures etc 19. Supply and install new countertop unit in concession kitchen. 20. Repairs to existing exterior stucco as required. 21. Supply and install millwork, including shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication and installation, as noted on the drawings. 22. Supply and install new acoustical ceiling tiles and grid, to match existing, as noted on the drawings. 23. Reconfigure existing ACT and grid to accommodate new walls and/or new/relocated devices. Please refer to reflected ceiling plan in the architectural drawings. 24. Supply and install new gypsum board, metal studs, and batt insulation. 25. Supply and install openings including doors, windows, and Roll-up doors and windows, for approval prior to installation and fabrication, as noted on the drawings. All new openings shall be impact rated for HVHZ. Please refer to window and door schedule. 26. Relocate existing openings as noted on the drawings. 27. Replace pedestrian doors and roll up bay doors as necessary per each location. Bay doors should include the motors with clickers and required features for automatic operation. All doors are to include replacement of applicable hardware as existing. 28. Contractor shall provide key cylinders a minimum of 2 weeks in advance for Owner to rekey prior to Contractor's installation. 29. Contractor shall use keyway cylinders per City's specifications provided upon award. 30. Frame color to be selected by City upon award. 31. Door color to be selected by City upon award. 32. All windows and or doors removed, shall have the new assemblies installed before end of work day to ensure that building can be locked up. 33. Any repairs required around the windows or doors due to replacement of such, shall be done by the contractor to include but not limited to, wood, drywall, stucco, paint, polyurethane sealant, etc. 34. The Contractor must clean all areas affected by work under this Contract. All left over debris must be removed and disposed of by legal means. Property must be left in broom clean condition.
