.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the decommissioning and removal of a wading pool and building, the supply and construction of a new “spray to drain” spray pad, and the associated site development. .2 The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Removal of the east rink (boards, surround, paving), shed and associated foundations and granular base course; (b) Removal and decommissioning of existing light standards and associated foundations (fixtures to be salvaged by the City); (c) Removal and decommissioning of a wading pool; (d) Design and construction of a straight-to-drain spray pad, including but not limited to all associated fixtures, drains, piping, electrical works and concrete spray basin, complete with all required permitting; (e) Supply and installation of a concrete spray pad and associated walkways and sitting areas; (f) Supply and Installation of water spray features; (g) Sewer, water and electrical connections; (h) Commissioning of the spray pad; (i) Removal of an existing playground (equipment and safety surfacing); (j) Supply and installation of playground equipment; (k) Supply and installation of rubberized protective surfacing and engineered protective surfacing complete with concrete curb edging; (l) Supply and installation of site furniture, signage, and receptacles; (m) Supply and installation of chain link fencing; (n) Supply and installation of a picnic shelter complete with helical piles, metal roof, and permitting; (o) Supply and installation of planting and planting beds; (p) Site restoration including site grading, topsoil, and sodding.
