Renovation of a municipal facility in La Honda, California. Design plans call for the renovation of a 2,560-square-foot municipal facility.

Per the owner, as of March 27, 2025, a design team has been selected. The owner states that they have not selected a general contractor and construction is anticipated for 2028-2029. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............... The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) is seeking qualified architect-led teams for the design of improvements for the Skyline Field Office Renovation Project located at 21150 Skyline Boulevard, La Honda. The purpose of the project is to redevelop the existing Skyline Field Office site to support an expanded, more efficient, full-service field office, shop, and yard. The Skyline Field Office (SFO), located at 21150 Skyline Boulevard, La Honda, services the Skyline region and the San Mateo County Coast. At SFO, the focus of this RFPQ, there is a 2,560 square foot office built approximately 30 years ago that provides administrative workspace, a meeting room, and shower and locker room facilities. Various ranch buildings that were existing on site when the District acquired the land have been repurposed and are used for storage, a shop, a wood shop, and additional locker rooms. There are also storage containers, large equipment, a yard, fueling station, and parking spread out on-site. The facility has outgrown the District's current and future needs due to increases in staff, which corresponds to the substantial growth in acreage of land managed over the last 10 plus years, which has required increased capacity for patrol, maintenance, and land stewardship work. The consultant team will provide full architectural and engineering services to design and help oversee construction of a new full-service field office facility at the current SFO location . This scope of work encompasses three phases of work and includes key tasks identified by the District. The consultant team (Consultant) should include these tasks in their proposal and separately identify any critical missing and/or optional tasks, and associated fees, deemed essential to complete the project. Phase I and Phase II are anticipated to be completed within two and a half (2.5) years of receiving the Notice to Proceed. The District is seeking proposals for the full scope of work outlined in this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Phase I and Phase II. For Phase III, the District is only seeking qualifications, experience, and approach since the scope of work is dependent on Phases I and II and has not yet been developed. Question Deadline 02/23/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Specific questions related to the RFPQ must be submitted by via Periscope or email to Galli Basson, Planner III at gbasson@openspace.org. Answers will then be distributed to all teams receiving this RFPQ via Periscope. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
