Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Campbell River, British Columbia. Working plans call for the construction of a 194,400-square-foot, three-story above grade elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Vancouver Island Health Authority ("Island Health" or "Owner") is seeking a qualified Proponent to take on the role and responsibilities of Construction Manager to provide pre-construction, construction, and post-construction services for the Campbell River Long Term Care Home Project ("Project"). The scope of the Project includes the construction of a three-storey (3-storey), 153 bed LTC facility of approximately 18,000 gross square metres in Campbell River, British Columbia. Included within the overall bed count is: 1) One (1) ten-bed (10-bed) hospice unit, 2) One (1) 26 bed unit for a specialized LTC population of younger residents, and 3) One (1) 26 bed unit for convalescent and restorative health care. The LTC living areas comprise multiple small houses of no more than fifteen (15) residents each. TIMELINE: Project is pending budget approval. RFP for Construction Manager is cancelled. Timeline for re-tender is undetermined. Further update in summer 2026, upon approvals.
