Proposals must be submitted on City of Wimberley forms and must be accompanied by an acceptable proposal security in the form of a cashier's check or bond, payable to the City of Wimberley, Texas, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the name of the project as shown above, and the name and address of the Respondent. The successful Respondent must furnish a performance bond and payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and any nonconforming proposal and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding 60 days from the proposal due date. Proposals shall remain firm for that period. Respondents are expected to inspect the site of the work and inform themselves regarding all local conditions.
