City of Helotes, Texas is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a metal storage building for public works. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. It is the intent of the City of Helotes to award a contract for the construction of a 60'x100' (or closest standard dimension, not to exceed 80'x125') metal storage building for the City of Helotes Public Works to utilize for storage and workshop. Requirements for Site and Structures: 1. Installation of concrete slab to support the dimensions of the metal building, and all site work needed. 2. Installation of the metal building with a minimum of 30 ft of its length clear of bay doors for workshop and storage space. 3. Installation of a minimum six powered bay doors with a minimum height of 14 feet and a minimum width of 12 feet each. The doors shall be installed on opposing walls of the building to allow vehicular travel through the building. (For example, three doors on each side, totaling six doors). Plus, two personnel doors. 4. The building shall have electric service for inside and outside lighting, a minimum of three 240v outlets and twelve 120v outlets distributed around the building for general use, a minimum of two large ventilation fans. 5. Installation of all electric service as mentioned in Requirements for Site and Structures #4. 6. All construction must meet the international building code. 7. There will be no sidewalks, driveway, or parking lot needed in this bid. 8. There will be no water or sewer needed for this building. 9. The roofing shall be standing seam, and below the roof needs to be insulated. 10. There is not a minimum height requirement for the building, however the bay doors must be at least 14 feet in height, so this height must be considered by the contractor, when addressing total height of the building. 11. All doors will be at grade and there will be no need for a truck dock. Contractor Requirements: Responsible for all permitting requirements and costs (city specific permit fees will be waived) Responsible for submittal of stamped engineered drawings Architectural design and stamped engineered drawings due at Notice to Proceed date Installation to be supervised to meet international building code The vendor must submit a schedule of completion Project completion and billing deadline - TDB with the schedule of completion. Associated Costs: Cost includes all site work, site excavation/preparation, removal of excess soil, site security (if required by contractor), and installation. Cost to include freight, unloading, and material storage Cost valid for 60 days from date of proposal.
