Renovation of a medical facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
This project will address HVAC issues and deficiencies in building C of WRC. The scope will include replacing air handlers, new duct work, VAV's, Controls and electrical upgrades. The project will expend the amount of air tempering to include more of the building. The goal is to improve reliability, indoor air quality and comfort. Programing space in C building will be air tempered to reduce humidity and heat during hot weather. Over 60% of the inmates at WRC are on psychotropic medications for behavior control of the inmates and the well-being of the institution's general population. These individuals can have serious medical consequences when located in areas where the temperature and humidity levels are not controlled. Design will be started using planning funds from DFD. DHS will request that this project be enumerated in the 2025-2027 capital budget. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
