Please note that this BID PACKET contains only one PRIME WORK PACKAGE. Envelopes containing the BID PROPOSALs must be designated as: "BID PROPOSAL for PRIME WORK PACKAGE CONTRACT, For BC Courthouse Public Defender's Offices The WORK under this contract shall commence within 45-60 days after receiving Notice of Award of Contract from the OWNER, contingent on the BC Courthouse 3rd Floor Renovation Project (Separate Project), and must be completed within 60 calendar days after the work has begun. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to Berrien County of Michigan or a satisfactory BID bond executed by the BIDDER and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent (5%) of the BID shall be submitted with each WORK PACKAGE BID over $100,000. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, for all projects over $50,000. The purpose of the meeting is to answer questions and provide a tour of the project site. The OWNER and OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE will be available to assist the BIDDERS. BIDDERS needing special services to fully participate in the meeting, or who are unable to attend, shall contact the OWNER at the above location. Additional pre-bid meetings may be scheduled at the discretion of the OWNER.
