OCS is seeking proposals for District-Wide Generator Replacement. The scope of the work includes replacement of generators at nine (9) different locations, installation of concrete pads and chain link fences with gates and HVAC Modifications to Oconee County BOE IT Building. Contractor's Qualification Statement, to be evaluated by the Consulting Engineer and Owner for approval, prior to issuing plans and specifications. Bidders who do not submit A305 will be subject to disqualification. The AIA A305 must show the Contractor's experience in completing similar size and scope projects asphalt paving including full depth asphalt reclamation with Portland cement amendments, within the same time limits established for this project, and demonstrated financial capability. A minimum of three (3) similar projects must be documented with appropriate back-up data which will be reviewed. References from past clients and projects must be included and will be verified. There are eight (8) separate Generator Replacement project locations and the Modifications to Oconee County BOE IT Building included in this Request for Bid Proposal. COMMENCEMENT DATE: Actual construction may begin upon receipt by the Contractor of Notice to Proceed letter, and an agreed upon schedule with the owner that allows progression of the work without disruption of the operation of the school. The earliest possible date would be March 12, 2024, for the work at each of the project sites. All required submittals shall be submitted by contractor and approved by Owner prior to beginning any work. COMPLETION DATE: Contractor is to be complete with all work by no later than August 1, 2025. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Bond payable to Oconee County Schools in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid, if the bid is equal to or greater than $50,000.00. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: A Performance Bond satisfactory to the Owner in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount will be required of the successful Contractor to guarantee delivery of completed work, if the value of the contract is greater than $50,000.00. These bonds shall be delivered to the Owner prior to receiving a Notice to Proceed. The Surety must be licensed to do business in Georgia and qualified by the Insurance Commissioners to underwrite bonds as required in this Project Manual. The Surety must also have not less than an "A" financial rating from "Best". The Surety will use the Owner's standard Payment and Performance Bonds.
