The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a term contract to provide the City of Miami Gardens (the "City") with sealed Bids from qualified firms to provide Grounds Maintenance for the City Hall Complex, City Parks and City Right-Of-Way Medians ("Services"). The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to add additional locations or delete locations to be serviced. The contract shall begin after City Manager/City Council award and be in effect for a period of three (3) years, with an option to renew upon mutual agreement, for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Each renewal of this contract is subject to the following: 1) Continued satisfactory performance, (2) compliance with the specifications, terms and conditions established herein and (3) Availability of funds. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES As compensation due the City for loss of use and for additional costs incurred due to such non-completion of the work, the City shall have the right to deduct the said liquidated damages from any amount due or that may become due to the bidder under this agreement or to invoice the bidder for such damages if the costs incurred exceed the amount due to the bidder. These liquidated damages of $100.00 per day will be deducted from the contract sum for each calendar day elapsing beyond the mutually agreed project completion time for each purchase order/project.
