This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP1176 awarded to Jefferson County Greenways Commission, Alabama by the U.S. Department of the Treasury Pursuant to 41-4-133 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, the Jefferson County Greenways Commission requests qualifications from qualified design professionals to provide full architectural and engineering services under an Open-End Agreement for various improvement projects at multiple locations throughout Jefferson County, Alabama. An Open-End Agreement will be awarded to one or multiple architectural/engineering firm(s). The design services will be contracted under both fees and hourly rates in accordance with the Manual of Procedures of the State of Alabama Department of Finance, Real Property Management, Division of Construction Management (DCM). The scope of work includes full architectural/engineering services for multiple improvement projects at various locations within Jefferson County, Alabama. The projects will vary in size, complexity, and duration. Projects include, but are not limited to the following: Ruffner Mountain Nature Center Repairs includes full professional design services for the repairs to structural deck and flooring components of approximately 1000 square feet or more of the Ruffner Mountain Nature Center located at 1214 81st St S, Birmingham, AL 35206. The building components needing repair vary from 10 to 25 feet above the ground on sloped terrain. Red Mountain Park and Turkey Creek Restroom Facilities includes the design of multiple public restroom facilities to be located at Red Mountain Park and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve. The restroom facilities may include additional public amenities, i.e. covered pavilion, showers, etc. Red Mountain Park is located along 2011 Frankfurt Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211. Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is located at 3906 Turkey Creek Rd, Pinson, AL 35126. Red Mountain Park Maintenance Facilities includes the design of a maintenance repair and equipment storage facility for Red Mountain Park, and may include additional executive office space. The maximum estimated construction budget for the Open-End Agreement is $1,000,000 . The term of the agreement will be for two (2) years with an option to renew for two (2) additional years. 41-16-82 of the Code of Alabama requires a disclosure statement to be completed and filed with all qualifications, proposals, bids, contracts, or grant proposals submitted to the State of Alabama in excess of $5,000.00. 31-13-1, et seq. of the Code of Alabama (Alabama Immigration Law) imposes conditions on the award of state contracts. Firms must agree to fully comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as amended by the Immigration Act of 1990, and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. Architects and engineers should review and adhere to these guidelines as appropriate to their project type. 41-16-5 of the Code of Alabama imposes conditions on the award of state contracts. The firm must certify that it is not currently engaged in, and will not engage in, the boycott of a person or an entity based in or doing business with a jurisdiction with which this state can enjoy open trade.
