Renovation of a multi-residential development in West Palm Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

PBCHA-IFB-2024-03 Recommended Mitigation Scope. Our proposed mitigation plan is summarized as follows: 1. Existing interior courtyard walkways - Demolition and removal. 2. Interior Courtyard - Remove sod and regrade. 3. Proposed interior Walkways - Construct as per sketch provided. 4. Interior green areas - Resod. 5. Existing OWS - Install proper size outlet drain. 6. Existing small elevator sump - Adjust float operation to shut off below floor level Detailed Scope of Work 1. Existing interior courtyard walkways. This includes the removal and off-site disposal of existing interior walkways as shown on the attached sketch. Safety barriers and site protection is included in this scope of work. Remove makeshift drainage pipes installed by maintenance in attempt to mitigate flooding 2. Interior Courtyard. This includes the removal of sod and excess materials from the area to be graded. Grading is intended to be away from the building, maintaining a positive slope towards the center of the interior courtyard and towards the street. Surface slope must not exceed 2% grade and prevent surface water retention. 3. Proposed interior Walkways. Interior walkways shall be four inch thick (4"), 3,000 psi minimum compressive strength concrete on a compacted non-organic soil base at the locations shown on the drawings. Walkways should match the surrounding grades, slope away from the buildings and cross slope in the overall drainage direction. Walkways adjacent to buildings are to be provided with an expansion joint along the building walls and provided with construction and control joints at five (5) feet maximum spacing. All walks shall have a broom, non-slip finish. 4. Interior green areas. All areas affected by the work shall be re-sodded. Sod shall match existing species and be free of invasive species. The finished sodded elevation shall not exceed the grades shown on the grading plan and maintain grading and drainage design intent. 5. Existing OWS. The existing outlet piping reducer and small diameter piping is to be replaced by extending the same diameter as the outlet to the exterior of the equipment room. 6. Existing elevator sump As described earlier, the sump pump control float is located above the elevator shaft floor and must be relocated or replaced to control the off level to be below finished floor. The Palm Beach County Housing Authority (PBCHA) acting for itself, instrumentalities and/or affiliates is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed, and insured entities for a Firm FixedPrice contract to provide Flooding Mitigation Repairs at Dyson Circle Apartments located at4695 N Dyson Circle, West Palm Beach, FL 33415.
