Hungry Neck Boulevard Corridor Improvements. Project Location: Mount Pleasant The work will consist of construction of concrete medians, milling of existing asphalt pavement, and overlay with asphalt pavement on Hungryneck Boulevard near its intersection with Isle of Palms Connector. Installation of new concrete sidewalk, a raised concrete mid-block pedestrian crossing with a pedestrian refuge, rectangular rapid flashing beacons and roadway lighting. The Town of Mount Pleasant has elected to pursue a contract for improvements along Hungryneck Boulevard to delineate turning movements, provide improved accommodationsfor pedestrians and bicyclists and upgrade a bus stop for public transportation. The work consists of three main construction elements; 1) concrete medians to delineate turn lanes 2.) sidewalk and a crosswalk with rectangular rapid flashing beacons 3.) and bus stop upgrades. Work shall be performed per the Traffic Control Plans as detailed in the plans and specifications. The construction time for this project shall be one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the commencement date in the Notice to Proceed.
