CR Number: 2105999 The University at Buffalo is issuing an IFB for an Audio Visual Solution for Fiber Optic and Copper Infrastructure (Installation, Repair, Removal) and Network Hardware Install. (1) maintenance and expansion of its fiber and copper low voltage infrastructure, (2) removal and compliance of expired fiber and copper low voltage infrastructure, and (3) physical installation of communications equipment, in communications rooms, on walls, and in ceilings. “Fiber and Copper Low Voltage Infrastructure” shall mean: Fiber optic cabling, innerduct and supporting raceway, terminations and supporting enclosures, as well as copper communications cabling to individual locations in a given facility including, but not limited to: single-mode fiber cables, multi-mode fiber cables, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6a cables (shielded, bonded, and unshielded), fiber termination panels, fiber pigtails, fiber termination cartridges, innerduct infrastructure, conduit installation (inside/outside plant), installation hardware for cabling, cable trays, waterfalls, J-Hooks, copper termination jacks, telecom room cable management, proper grounding for shielded cable solutions and telecom rooms, and other components of the “Fiber and Copper Low Voltage Infrastructure.
