As of November 12, 2024, project is under construction. For the proposed project officially known as the Depot Street Roadway and Site Improvements and at which time said proposals will be publicly opened and read. The proposed improvement consists of earth excavation, seeding, PCC/HMA pavement, PCC curb and gutter, PCC sidewalk, street wall, landscaping, lighting, storm sewer, water main, traffic control, and all necessary adjustments, incidentals and appurtenances at locations shown in the plans. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashiers check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Before plans and specifications may be obtained, contractors must be pre-qualified. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals. This project is located along Depot Street and Oak Street where they intersect in the City of Peoria, Peoria County, IL. Construction activity consists of new pavement, parking lot construction, constructing new water main, PCC curb and gutters, sidewalks, drainage improvements, and landscaping. The project will be completed in 3 phases. Phase 1 will include Depot Street and the adjacent parking lot. Phase 2 will include Oak Street. Phase 3 will consist of the intersection of Depot & Oak Streets.
