Hawaii District Land Office Seeks Bids for the Clearing of Overgrown Grass, Weeds, Brush, Bushes and Saplings and Trimming of Large Trees on Three Coastal Properties Next to Hilo Harbor on Oceanview Drive. Property Description: The Lots Are Approximately 8,000sf Each. All 3 Properties Were Previously Cleared and Have Abandoned Houses on Them. One Property Has a Burnt Garage. Parameters: o Clear All Vegetation Within a 10' Border Around All Sides of the Existing Houses. o Cut All Grass, Weeds, Brush, Bushes, and Saplings Between the Houses and the Street to Provide Line of Sight to the Houses. o Raise the Canopy of Any Existing Large Trees to a Minimum Height of 20 Feet From the Ground, Which Provides an Easy Line of Sight From Street to Ocean. This Item is to Be Performed by or Under the Supervision of a Certified Arborist. Proof of Arborist Certification to Be Provided Prior to Award of Contract. o Remove Any Vines From Trunks of Trees. o Greenwaste (Including Grass Clippings) Will Be Mulched or Removed From Property to Achieve a Neater/tidier Appearance. o Vendor Will Notify Candace Martin by Email, Within 2 Working Days Before and After Performance of Job, to Inspect Job Progress for Quality and Compliance With Contract.
