The Rural Municipality of Coalfields No. 4, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is accepting tenders to spread approximately 30,000 cubic yards of gravel for the 2024 municipal road maintenance program. The gravel will be stockpiled at two locations within the RM of Coalfields, as follows: Hirsch NW 34-02-05W2 and North Portal NE 24-01-05W2. The work is to be completed during the months of May and June, subject to weather or other extenuating circumstances. Inquiries regarding this tender can be directed to RM Foreman, Marty Johnson, (306) 461-6650. The Municipality reserves the right to refuse to accept any or all tenders, and the lowest or any tender may not necessarily be awarded. It is expected gravelling will commence on May 1 st and be completed by June 30 th , weather permitting and barring any unexpected or extenuating circumstances. The Municipality shall require the successful bidder, at the time of execution of the Contract, to furnish a performance bond or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the tendered price of the work. The cost of securing the bond or letter of credit shall be borne by the Contractor.
