The Village of Lake in the Hills Public Properties Department has issued a Request for Proposal for the Nockles Park Pier Replacement. Questions are due by 2/12/2024 to receive a response for the Nockles Park Pier Replacement RFP prior to Bid Opening. The Village of Lake in the Hills ("Village") is seeking the services of a Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and anything necessary to remove both existing Nockels Piers(145 Hilltop, Lake in the Hills, IL, 60156) and replace with 2 (two) new modular floating piers made of high-density polyethylene materials (and other materials identified herein). The installation shall be conducted in a professional manner, completed within the specified time frame, and located in the same location as the original. The Contractor shall deliver all materials to the site and proceed with the installation, referencing the attached pictures 1 & 2 below, which show the estimated size and quantities of the new pier. (The contractor is responsible for field verifying the site to ensure the accuracy of the estimated replacement pier sizes and dimensions. o Please note that one of the existing fishing piers containstwo benches and railings; where theContractor will be required to furnish any new benches for this project. The other pier just contains boat tie rope cleats. o When constructing the new piers, the pilings shall be driven into the lake bed to the depth that is required to stabilize the pier properly. o The Contractor shall follow all the manufacturer's recommended installation procedures for all the products used in this project. o The Contractor is solely responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, and procedures and for safety precautions and programs. o The Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing fishing and boat pier and all associated hardware. o The Contractor is responsible for cleaning up the work site daily by removing all work-related debris. o The Contractor isresponsible for repairing any ruts or any other damage caused during the execution of this contract. Any damage caused by the Contractor during the term of this contract shall be repaired at the sole expense of the Contractor within ten (10) days of the damage. o The Contractor shall notify the Project Manager one week before the start of construction. o The Construction hours are limited to 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday unless otherwise authorized by the Village. No work is allowed on Saturday or Sunday unless authorized by the Village's project manager. o The vendor will provide all associated documents for warranty, maintenance, and parts listings
