The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements,(2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders, (3) to reject, for good cause, any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district, (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive any formalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in its best interest. The purpose and intent of this Invitation to Bid is to establish a firm fixed price contract with one qualified source to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the project. The project consists of cleaning and prepping roofing surface. Removing and disposing of debris. Install a high-performance poly propylene fabric membrane to the roof and all related flashings as needed. Broom fabric for conformity and proper adhesion. Apply top coating of modified emulsion, clay-based ambient temperature asphalt to roof and flashed areas, imbedding chopped fiberglass. The fiberglass application shall be no less than 3 lbs. per 100 square feet. Final application to provide a seamless, monolithic surface. Apply additional finish coat of silver-white roof coating. Clean up and haul away debris created by roofing work. The approximate square footage is 32,165. The contractor MUST confirm square footage in person at the mandatory walk-through before bidding.
