Renovation of a fire / police facility in Rhododendron, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The selected Architect will be invited to engage in a contractual partnership with HFD, tasked with providing comprehensive design and related services for the development of a new administrative main Fire Station. The current administrative fire station, situated at 69634 E. Highway 26 in Welches, OR, is in the process of potential relocation. Hoodland Fire is currently in the final stages of negotiations with Clackamas County for the acquisition of two parcels on E. Salmon River Road, the former site of the Dorman Center/Hoodland Community Park. Questions regarding the proposal shall be sent electronically to Hoodland's Owner's Representative, Otak CPM, directed to Alex Cettie at Otak CPM by email (alex.cettie@otak.com). Phone calls will not be accepted. This architectural services contract presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of HFD's facilities, supporting its mission to provide exceptional emergency services to the community. The Architect will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Hoodland Fire's administrative infrastructure, emphasizing functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal. The envisioned project scope includes the following possibilities: a. In the event of a successful acquisition, HFD envisions the construction of anew administrative station at the Dorman Center location, creating a modern and efficient facility. b. Architect will assist HFD with requested due diligence from Clackamas County to help ensure the successful acquisition of the Dorman Center property. If negotiations for the Dorman Center property prove unsuccessful, HFD intends to replace the current administrative fire station on its existing site. The design should cater to the specific needs and functionalities required for optimal operational efficiency. c. Hoodland Fire has engaged Otak to provide Owner Representative Project Management services on behalf of HFD. The selected architectural firm is expected to collaborate seamlessly with Otak, ensuring a cohesive and well-coordinated approach throughout the design and implementation phases of the project. The RFP documents are posted to ONLINE. All updates to the documents or Addendum will be posted to Oregon Buys. It is the sole responsibility of the Proposer to regularly check the Oregon Buys website for changes.
