Site work and renovation of a civil project in Golden Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Town reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities in any bid, and delete any portion of the project, whenever such action is in the interest of the Town. The CONTRACTOR will secure and pay for all construction permits and licenses and will pay for all governmental charges and inspection fees necessary for the prosecution of the Work, which are applicable at the time of his Bid. When such charges are normally made by the OWNER and when so stated in the SPECIAL CONDITIONS, there will be no charges to the CONTRACTOR. The OWNER shall assist the CONTRACTOR, when necessary, in obtaining such permits and licenses. The CONTRACTOR will also pay all public utility charges. Each bid must be submitted either electronically through the DemandStar E-Bid process, or hard-copy in TRIPLICATE (ONE ORIGINAL AND TWO COPIES) plus one electronic copy (USB flash drive) and accompanied by an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid payable to Town, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted the bidder will execute the contract and file acceptable performance and payment surety bonds, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within ten (10) days after written notice of the award of contract. The work specified in this section consists of furnishing drainage pipe, conforming to these specifications and of the particular types, sizes and dimensions shown in the plans. This work shall include the installation of the pipe at locations called for, in conformity with the lines and grades given, and the furnishing and construction of such catch basins, inlets, manholes, walls, joints, connections, etc., to new and existing pipes as may be required to complete the work as indicated in the plans.
