The Request for Interest (RFI) is issued to request information and obtain industry input on on-call contractors capable of performing urgent structural repair and rehabilitation at water and wastewater facilities. Question Deadline 02/23/2024 at 2:00 pm The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) requests the submittal of Letters of Interest (LOI) for on-call contractors capable of performing urgent structural repair and rehabilitation at water and wastewater facilities. DC Water seeks a qualified specialty construction firm capable of performing urgent repairs on civil and structural infrastructure at water and wastewater facilities. The scope may include performing structural strengthening, corrosion control, framing replacement, pipe rehabilitation and concrete repair. Upon identification of structural deficiencies, the firm must have the ability to mobilize quickly and self-perform the majority of structural repairs. The RFI process will assist the firms responding to the forthcoming RFP in providing a more thorough understanding of the needs of DC Water. Once firms have responded to the RFI document, DC Water may schedule a meeting with the project management team for any further clarification regarding RFI. Questions are to be asked and answered by both parties to assist clarification of statements in the RFI. The response to this RFI will help DC Water plan for adequate resources and develop strategies for the upcoming RFP. DC Water will then issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to the general public accordingly.
