The Township of Greater Madawaska is seeing to engage the services of a company to complete a list of technical reports to support a new application to the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (NDMNRF) to expand the existing Class B aggregate pit located on Hydro Dam Rd, within part Lot 8, Concession 3, geographic Township of Brougham, in the Township of Greater Madawaska. The expansion consists of an additional 2.53 hectars into Crown Land. The company will be expected to provide the following technical reports with respect to this project: Technical reports required: Site Plan Maximum Predicted Water Table Report Natural Environment Report Cultural Heritage Report (there are two checklists that need to be completed/submitted - one that evaluates the potential for archaeological resources and the other that evaluates the potential for built heritage resources and cultural heritage landscapes. If either identifies there's potential for features to be onsite, then additional studies are required) Agricultural Impact Assessment Report (Potentially not required as we are not in a "Prime Agricultural Area") Water Report (might not be required, based on the results of the Max predicted water table report as it's anticipated no excavations will occur below the maximum predicted water table).
