Northumberland County is seeking a fulltime position to work in the Countys Sanitary District Operations. This is a full-time position for a skilled person who can work in- dependently in the operation, maintenance, and repairs of the Sanitary Districts Waste- water Treatment Plants and Sewer Systems. This position will require the ability to work both indoors / outdoors and must be able to physically climb and lift 45 pounds. Ability to operate basic tools, machinery, and other equipment is essential. The successful candidate should possess basic knowledge and experience in the fields of maintenance, plumbing, and electrical work and have a valid drivers license. The successful candidate will also need the ability to work alone and work well with the public. Benefits include retirement plan, life insurance, health insurance, paid vacation, and sick leave. The ability to obtain a Virginia Wastewater License within 2 years of hire date. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
