Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount in the form of a Bid Bond as described in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the forms provided in the Project Manual, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract, and each with satisfactory corporate surety, must be furnished by the successful Bidder prior to execution of a Contract. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the Bidder for sixty (60) calendar days following the actual date of opening thereof, except as provided by the Commonwealth Procurement Code. However, if award of Contract is delayed by the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants, Bids may not be withdrawn by the Bidder for a period not to exceed 120 days from the date of bid opening in accordance with Pennsylvania law. The Project consists ofselective demolition and replacement in kind ofsix (6) exterior aluminum entrance systems including all doors and associated hardware. All on site work is to commence once school has ended for the year. The anticipated last day of school for students at the time of bid release was June 6, 2024. Work can commence immediately following this date. Contractor to coordinate all Work directly with the District to allow for communication to summer staff as to what entry will be unavailable throughout the duration of construction.
