Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Vicksburg, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 58,011-square-foot educational facility; 44,372-square-foot educational facility; 58,011-square-foot educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
Demolition and Asbestos Abatement Site Locations: Sunset Lake Elementary - 201 N. Boulevard Street, Vicksburg, MI 49097 (58,011 SF, 1st floor) Tobey Elementary - 8551 E Long Lake Drive, Scotts, MI 49088 (44,372 SF, 1st floor) Indian Lake Elementary - 11901 S 30th Street, Vicksburg, MI 49097 (48,672 SF) Contractors will arrive at VCS Administration Building Lower Gymnasium. Frederick Construction will begin with introductions and inform all attendants of the bidding requirements of the project. Immediately Following the Pre-Bid Meeting Pre-Bid Attendees can travel any or all of the three elementary locations noted above. No verbal questions will be answered during these walkthroughs. Any Contractor questions that arise during the walk-thru will be required to be submitted in written form via BRFI. Bid bond or certified check of not less than 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with bid and made payable to Vicksburg Community Schools. All proposals shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack of a relationship) that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Vicksburg Community Schools or the Superintendent of the School District. The District will NOT accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized disclosure statement. The base bid shall be a lump sum amount, for the work as set forth in the bid documents. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the proposed cost will be required for all contracts. The cost of a Performance and Payment Bond shall be included within the contractor's base bid price. No bids may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) consecutive calendar days following the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, alternates, or proposals, and to accept bids, alternates, or proposals that, in its judgment, serve its best interests.
