The scope of work includes removal of sediment from an existing retention pond, no sediment bags allowed on this project, and other miscellaneous work for a complete project as shown in the Drawings and Specifications. Requirements for Performance and Bid Bonds 1. A bid bond is not required for this project. 2. If a bid is accepted, a Labor & Material Payment Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction. A Performance Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction on all projects $50,000 or more, and may be required for projects $50,000 or less at the discretion of the Naperville Park District. The surety on the bond shall be a company that is licensed by the Department of Insurance authorizing it to execute surety bonds and the company shall have a financial strength rating of at least A- as rated by A.M. Best Company, Inc., Moody's Investors Service, Standard & Poor's Corporation, or a similar rating agency.
