The Waterbury Public Schools invites proposals from experienced vendors to submit proposals for a comprehensive Cisco switch replacement project, removing old equipment, configuring new equipment, ensuring continuity of service across all schools, rewiring all data closets, and implementing a color-coded VLAN structure with the appropriate colored data cables (hereinafter the Work). This project aims to upgrade and optimize our network infrastructure for improved performance, security, and reliability. All questions and communications about this request for Proposal and submission requirements must be directed to the City of Waterbury Procure Ware website and must be received by 2:00 PM on February 2 , 2023. Prospective proposers must limit their contact regarding this RFP to the Purchasing Director or another person designated by the Purchasing Director. Responses to questions submitted by the above date or identified at any Information Session to be held regarding this RFP, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the City of Waterbury Procure Ware website by February 8, 2023, 2:00 PM. Each Proposal submitted shall be accompanied by a Proposal Security (a Certified Check or Bid Bond) in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Proposal Price. The Proposer to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000.00, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the Proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the proposal limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served.
