Project Description Project consists of milling, paving, base pavement repair, installing new granite block and concrete curbing where required, select sidewalk repair, catch basin head and grate retrofit/replacement, accessible ramp installation, and the installation of various pavement striping on Jerusalem Road between Mountain Avenue and Broadway. This project will be partially funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Bureau of Local Aid. No bids shall be received other than at the time and place herein designated for their receipt, unless mailed to the Township Clerk for receipt at the designated time and place. Written questions regarding the bid specifications may be submitted to the Township Engineer, at 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey 07076 on or before 4:00 PM on February 14, 2024. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. Bidders must also submit a Consent of Surety with the bid, wherein the Surety agrees to furnish a performance bond if the Bidder is awarded the contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and all other applicable statutes, laws or regulations. Bidders are required to submit a valid Business Registration Certificate from the State of New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue.
