2024 Roadwork Assistance Program The contractor awarded the 2024 Roadwork Assistance Program contract, if any, will provide certain materials and equipment rentals (with operators) to assist the Township's Department of Public Works in resurfacing public streets and municipal parking lots, including profile milling as required; and will resurface asphalt sidewalks and construct concrete sidewalks as directed, all in accordance with the Specifications and Information to Bidders prepared by the Township. Written questions regarding the bid specifications may be submitted to the Township Engineer at 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey 07076 on or before May 31,2024. No bids shall be received other than at the time and place herein designated for their receipt, unless mailed to the Township Clerk for receipt at the designated time and place. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount often per cent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. Bidders must also submit a Consent of Surety with the bid, wherein the Surety agrees to furnish a performance bond if the Bidder is awarded the contract. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids. NOTE: The successful bidder must be available 1-2 days per week for the duration of the program until all streets are completed. The program is estimated to run from July 1st to August 30th, 2024.
