REPLACEMENT OF WINDSOR WATER TANK A contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest bid, as set forth in the Contract Documents, the right being reserved by the Township to reject all proposals or any proposal which may be informal or the acceptance of which for any other reasons would be detrimental to the best interests of the Township, and to waive informalities. There are two tank alternatives for this project: glass-coated bolted steel, or welded steel painted. The bidder may bid one or the other, or both, alternatives. The Township will award the project to the bidder that best suits the Township's needs. The Township has no preference with regard to either tank alternative. All bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Township. Bids on any other forms will not be accepted. All questions regarding the bid shall be addressed to purchasing@montvillenj.org and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Question Deadline 02/07/2024 A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the Township of Montville, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, must be submitted with the bid by each bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the Department of Administration, Township of Montville, 195 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ 07045. Each Proposal must be enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE, properly endorsed with the name of the Bidder, with the designation "TOWNSHIP OF MONTVILLE, SEALED BID, REPLACEMENT OF WINDSOR WATER TANK, FEBRUARY 22, 2024, 11:00 A.M." Any envelope that is received that is not properly marked causing it to be opened prior to the bid will be invalidated. Bids may be received before the hour designated in this office, if they are mailed or hand delivered in person. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, waive informalities therein, and to award the bid in the best interest of the Township.
