Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Portage, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of bituminous paving, asphalt removal, unclassified excavation, C.A.B.C., concrete removal, concrete curb, sidewalk and driveway approaches (All quantities are approximate). o Base Bid: Alley 79 & 16 Reconstruction; - Bituminous asphalt alley resurfacing includes approximately 1,036 S.Y. asphalt pavement removal on 1 alley (#16) and approximately 1,880 S.Y. of bituminous asphalt pavement construction. Remove and replace 70 LF of Curb and Gutter and 660 SF of 6" concrete sidewalks and driveway approaches. o Alternate Bid A: Alley 31 Reconstruction - Bituminous asphalt alley resurfacing includes approximately 806 S.Y. asphalt pavement removal and approximately 806 S.Y. of bituminous asphalt pavement construction. Remove and replace 25 LF of Curb and Gutter and 250 SF of 6" concrete sidewalks and driveway approaches. o Alternate Bid B: Alley 72 Reconstruction - Bituminous asphalt alley resurfacing includes approximately 784 S.Y. asphalt pavement removal and approximately 784 S.Y. of bituminous asphalt pavement construction. Remove and replace 25 LF of Curb and Gutter and 240 SF of 6" concrete sidewalks and driveway approaches. The City shall award the Contract to the lowest responsive responsible Bidder. The City shall mail or deliver a Notice of Award to the Successful Bidder. If low Bids are tied, the City Council will select the Successful Bidder. A Bidder may withdraw his Bid at any time prior to the scheduled time for receipt of Bids. Unless a longer or shorter time period is stated in the Official Notice, no Bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after the date of the Bid opening. CONTRACTOR must substantially complete all work by August 31, 2024. All work shall be complete and ready for final acceptance by September 14, 2024.
