Grass Cutting Services, and Removal of Clutter, Trash and Debris on properties in violation. Scope of Work The City of Colonial Heights is requesting quotes from responsible parties for two services: (1) grass cutting and (2) cleanup of clutter, rubbish, and/or debris. The services will be rendered for properties in violation with the City Ordinances 244-6, 244-7, and 244-10. The City's Planning & Community Development Department will notify the contractor of the address and services to be performed, and authorize all work. Work associated with this quote is expected to start March 19 2024 and end on March 31, 2025. Last season, the City's contractor had approximately 135 cuts to perform, and removed trash, rubbish and debris at approcimately30 properties. The number of properties this season could increase or decrease. All quoted prices shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, permits, fees and insurance coverage to complete the project as outlined. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible vendor, his product or service or in any way restrain or restrict competition. On the contrary, all responsible vendors are encouraged to bid. The right is reserved to reject any and all quotes and also to award the order where it appears it will be to the best interest of the City. The right is also reserved to award in part or the whole of the items listed or group of items. The City reserves the right to award in whole or part and to negotiate with the low bidder. The City reserves the right, to renew this contract in one-year terms, not to exceed a total of four (4) additional years, to begin on April 1 of the subsequent year and end on March 31st of the following year.
