Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of installation of new sidewalks and ADA facilities along Elko Avenue and conduit Road. The project limits will start at the intersection of Center Avenue and Elko Avenue north to a point south of E. Westover Avenue and at the Bus Loop at Conduit Road. The Middle School Sidewalks project, consists of installation of new pedestrian facilities including, but not limited to: Curb and Gutter, Sidewalk, ADA Ramps and Driveway Entrances. 101123 SRTS-5A27(165);SRTS-106-141,P101,R201,C0501 There will be a 1% DBE Goal for this project. Question Deadline 03/08/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Questions relating to this Invitation for Bid should be directed to Mr. Larry H. Melvin, Purchasing Agent, at (804) 520-9333, or via email at melvinl@colonialheightsva.gov Liquidated damages. For this term, Department shall be interpreted as the City of Colonial Heights. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid if evidence submitted by or investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. If awarded the contract, the contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount. (2 separate bonds). The contractor may require as part of the agreement between the subcontractor and the contractor, a payment bond with surety thereon in the amount of 100% of the work sublet to the subcontractor.
