Design, Supply, and Install Splash Pad Equipment At Schwartz Park, Located in Deer Lake, NL Deer Lake is home to many recreational opportunities and facilities. Our Humber River trail system will take you for a stroll around Deer Lake with beautiful scenery of the Humber at each stop. The trail system, fully equipped with rest stops and washroom facilities, will carry you all the way from the Deer Lake Airport, past the Viking Trail, right along the Deer Lake Beach. Deer Lake Beach is a 2 km long sandy fresh water beach in the heart of the town. "Joe Butt's Look Out" is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible with our latest installation of our "Water's Edge" mobi matts. In the summer the beach is also equipped with washroom facilities, foot rinsing stations, a snack kiosk, beach volley ball courts, and water at perfect depths for swimming with your family on hot days! Not far from the Deer Lake beach you will find Schwartz Park. This park includes a soccer field, baseball field, playground, dog park, and a skate park. Through planning and resident consultation, the opportunity to expand and build another community recreation outdoor space that is available for all residents of the Town of Deer Lake has become a top priority. With this being a top priority, the Town of Deer Lake will be seeking proposals to build a community splash pad structure in the Spring or Summer of 2024. The splash pad will be built within a 1500-2000 square foot area and elements should take in to consideration and complement the setting of Schwartz Park and the location of the park in the Deer Lake. The design should exhibit a smooth play transition from one play element to the next; exhibiting overall continuity, high quality, and variety of play for users of all abilities.
