The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation (Sources Sought 15B61724PR000145) for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Upgrade Switchgear, at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCC Lompoc), located in Lompoc, California. FCC Lompoc is a federally owned facility located at 3901 Klein Blvd., Lompoc, CA 93436. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Provide a final test demonstration to show the completed system functions in compliance with requirements. This test shall be done in the presence of the FBOP representatives. 2. Provide a 2 year manufacturer's warranty on the switchgears, transformers, Secondary Unit Substations with Switchboards. 3. Remove the existing Secondary Unit Substations with Switchboards at Powerhouse, UNICOR, Tunnel (Administration) Electrical Room. 4. Remove the devices and ancillaries inside the existing 15kV switchgear and use it as splicing cabinet. 5. Provide pad mounted transformer, MV Enclosed Switchgear and mobile docking station for a quick connection point for the Regional Mobile Emergency Generator. 6. Provide generator and switchboard for temporary power supply and functional testing. See the Statement of Work/Specifications attachment for the complete requirements of the work. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238210 with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 million.
