Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work in this contract is for the Hastings Green Wastewater Treatment Plant Lift Station for Harris County Fresh Water Supply District No. 61 located at 10431 North Eldridge Parkway, Houston Texas 77065. The lift station is located inside the Wastewater Treatment site. The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the existing lift station. In general, this work consists of: Contractor shall acquire all permits and provide copies to LAN as a prerequisite to starting work. Temporary bypass pumping for lining of wet well with cementitious lining, including bypass pumping for lift station rehabilitation to provide continuous sewer service diverted around the lift station to the WWTP headworks during rehabilitation. No bypass pumping shall be conducted during hurricane season, unless otherwise directed by the Engineer. Surface preparation and lining of wet well interior, roof, and wet well baffle wall with an Engineer approved cementitious lining system, including cleaning, removal, and disposal of sediment, grit, sludge, and unsound concrete and surface preparation and application of 1-inch Engineer approved cementitious material for extremely harsh environments. Plugging of existing 42-inch pipe with cement flush to the wet well wall. Removal and replacement of 8-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch riser piping inside lift station wet wells, including removal and replacement of above ground piping, bolted coupling Smith Blair Type 411 or equal, pipe collars, pumps, pump guide rails, hoisting chains, pump stands, fittings and all appurtenances, installation of 16-Inch discharge piping supports, U-brackets, and clamps. The riser piping includes all wet well piping from the flange above the top slab to the existing pumps, including any bends, reducers, slab penetrations and fittings. The above ground piping includes all piping from the flange above the top of slab to the point it transitions to below ground piping. Removal of existing two 16-inch force mains and one 8-inch force main. Installation of three new 16-inch force mains as shown in the plans. Removal of existing 16-inch vent and replacement with proposed, coated, 16-inch vent as shown in the plans. Rehabilitation of existing 54-inch gravity sanitary sewer with Engineer approved cured-in-place lining system, as directed by Engineer. Surface preparation and coating of wet well interior, wet well baffle wall, and roof with an Engineer approved epoxy coating. Installation of Hose Bib Assembly, including meter box assembly. Demolition of existing lift station conduits, feeders, MCC, j-boxes, floats, transducers, ASP, and any appurtenances and items shown in specifications and plans. Furnish and install new concrete lift station control pad in existing MCC room and miscellaneous sidewalk repairs as needed for ductbanks for a complete and functional system as described in specifications and plans. Furnish and install new lift station power panel and control panel with motor starters, electrical gear, motor feeders, controls, level controller, ductbank, conduits, conductors, floats, terminal boxes, cable tray, modifications to any existing equipment and all appurtenances as necessary for a complete and functional system as described in specifications and plans. Site restoration, including removing and replacing concrete sidewalks, driveways, and damaged turf, plants, shrubs, fences, and trees, as required. Each bid shall be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of total base bid. If certified or cashier's check is used as bid security, check must be drawn on a responsible bank located in the State of Texas and made payable to Owner only. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects and to reject any or all bids. In case of the lack of clarity or ambiguity in prices, the Owner reserves the right to accept the most advantageous or reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide payment and performance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
