As of December 6, 2024, this project has been awarded and construction will begin in January 2025. The major items of work include grind, repair, and overlay the roadway; upgrade curb ramps; replace manholes and catch basins' frame and cover; install traffic vehicle detection cameras and loops; replace water main and applicable appurtenances. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The proposed bid range for the project is from $4,000,000 to $4,500,000. The entire project, including cleanup, shall be physically completed within 115 working days. Project is funded by federal grant and city funds. Requirements stipulated for Federal and other governmental funding have been incorporated into the Contract Documents and require full compliance by the Contractor and any subcontractor hired by the Contractor. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements on this project are 16% certified DBE. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory Contract Bond within the time stated in the Bid Documents, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Auburn. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be for the best interest of the City of Auburn.
