Description of Work: 1.1.1 The work specified herein shall be the removal and/or repair of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) and Lead Based Paint (LBP) by competent persons, trained, knowledgeable, and qualified in the techniques of abatement, handling, and disposal of Asbestos Containing, Asbestos Contaminated Materials, LBP, and the subsequent cleaning of contaminated areas according to Federal, State, and Local regulations. 1.1.2 The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, services, insurance, bonds, permits, and equipment necessary to perform the work in accordance with the Contract Documents and all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Scope or Work: 1.2.1 For each job to be conducted under this Contract, the Owner will issue a written notice to the Contractor for the work to be performed. All pertinent information will be contained in a written specification. 1.2.2 The Contractor will inspect the site of the proposed work to determine the conditions under which the work will be performed. Contractors will be required to be present for Pre-Construction Meetings before each project (if needed). 1.2.3 The owner will be responsible for moving all furniture from the areas involved in the work. 1.2.4 The owner will be responsible for environmental air monitoring and clearance sampling. 1.2.5 The Contractor shall be responsible to provide a qualified Testing Laboratory to perform personal monitoring required by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to determine proper respiratory protection for asbestos abatement.
