Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The established goals for this project are 11 % goal for MUBE and 7% goal for WUBE participation. Question Deadline 08/28/2025 Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Project involves the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete installation of a new perimeter security fence for a material storage lot for the city of Durham. Along with the perimeter fence, there will be the installation of a concrete pad to replace existing open grass and the construction of an additional driveway east of the existing driveway. The new driveway will have an automatic gate. The concrete pad will serve as a driving and parking surface for the city, and storage areas will be created using masonry bin blocks to create walls for separate materials. As a result of the proposed work, a stormwater structure will be installed for drainage on the site. The stormwater structure will tie into an existing stormwater structure located on Pettigrew Street. There is no utility work proposed on site besides coordinating with Duke Energy to get a lighting plan. With the changes to the site, landscape improvements are being proposed and the plan calls for the installation of some canopy trees, understory trees, and shrubs. The City of Durham requires the Project to be substantially completed within 182 consecutive calendar days, and completed within 220 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified or cashier's check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The check shall be made payable to the City of Durham. Said deposit shall guarantee that the Contract will be entered into by the successful Bidder if the award is made. Such deposit of cash or certified or cashier's check may be held by the City until the successful Bidder has executed and delivered the Contract Documents, including performance and payment bond, to the City of Durham and returned or kept in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-129. The City of Durham reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter Bids, and to accepts the Bid that will be in the best interest of the City of Durham.
