Construction Management Services for Vail Dam Seismic and Hydrologic Remediation Project (New Vail Dam-State Dam No. 2028-2) The following is a scope of services to guide the Respondent in the preparation of the proposal; however, Rancho Water encourages any modifications that add value, efficiencies, and completeness to the subject project, based on the Respondent's relevant experience and expertise. The Scope of Work also includes pre-qualification of contractors for the dam construction. Please note that Rancho Water will be issuing two separate bids and contracts for 1) Vegetation Clearing and 2) New Dam Construction. Task 1 - Project Management Task 2 - Construction Administration and Management The existing arch dam will be replaced with a straight-axis gravity roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam immediately downstream of the arch dam. New inlet/outlet facilities will be incorporated in the new gravity dam. The new dam will be higher than the existing dam such that the PMF will be routed entirely through the existing spillway. The selected Respondent shall perform as the Construction Manager (CM) and provide construction management, administration, inspection, and related specialty inspection services (electrical, instrumentation, control, etc.) through contractor prequalification, vegetation clearing (as a separate contract), project bidding, dam construction, commissioning, and postconstruction phases for the Vail Dam Seismic and Hydrologic Remediation Project. The CM shall provide a variety of project management services in cooperation with the following parties: Rancho Water - Owner AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) - Engineer of Record/Design Team Resource monitors (cultural, biological, archeological, etc.) Contractor(s) (TBD) The CM shall be responsible for direct oversight and overall management of the project delivery process over an estimated 48-month duration. The CM will be Rancho Water's onsite representative responsible for the management, administration, and monitoring of the quality and progress of the construction, inspection, and expediting the processing of relevant documents. In addition, the CM is also expected to proactively identify potential constructability issues and provide possible resolutions to the project team in an expeditious manner. It is expected that other contractors will be working within the project area at Rancho Water's conjunctive use facilities near De Portola Road at various times on other capital projects.
