Site work for a water / sewer project in Palm Desert, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The anticipated sequence of work for Well 5662-1 includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Mobilize equipment to well site. 2. Remove the vertical turbine pump and associated components. a. Remove pump house. b. Inspect pump, motor, column pipe and line shaft. c. Provide inspection report and recommendation for repair. 3. Perform a Casing Inspection Log (CITM), well video survey, caliper log, and deviation survey. 4. Bail or air lift well to remove accumulated material at bottom of well 5. Mechanically brush the inner well casing and screen to remove deposits from the inside walls and screen slots with a wire-line brush tool. Brushing will occur only below a depth of approximately 750 feet below top of casing. 6. Bail or air lift well to remove accumulated material at bottom of well 7. Perform mechanical redevelopment by double swab/airlift with dispersant only in the middle and deep screens. a. Use double-swab/airlift tool to simultaneously swab and airlift the well screen interval. b. Inject and remove approved dispersant polymer from filter pack around well screen using the double swab/airlift tool. 8. Perform post-rehabilitation well video survey to confirm visual effectiveness of rehabilitation. 9. Install a test pump with an inflatable packer system assembly to 775 feet (pump bowls set to approximately 280 feet and pump suction pipe set to 785 feet). 10. Perform 4-hour pumping test on the entire well (with packer un-inflated) at varying rates (step discharge) and then a 4-hour constant discharge rate (estimated 1,750 gpm). 11. Perform a 4-hour step discharge pumping test and a 4-hour constant discharge pumping test with packer inflated. 12. Collect two (2) water quality samples 15 minutes apart within the last 30 minutes of the test. Each sample shall be delivered to Owner or Owner's Representative at the end of the test. 13. Inflate packer system and perform an up to 4-hour pumping test at varying rates (step discharge) and then at a constant discharge rate (estimated 1,750 gpm). 14. Collect two (2) water quality samples 15 minutes apart within the last 30 minutes of each flow rate (20 samples total). Each sample shall be delivered to District or District's Representative at the end of the test. District will perform water quality testing at its lab. 15. Perform water level recovery test. 16. Remove test pump, packer system, motor, and temporary discharge assembly. 17. Perform post-rehabilitation well video survey. 18. Select and place orders for permanent pumping equipment. 19. Disinfect the well and install permanent pumping equipment. 20. Re-install pump house, demobilize, and cleanup the well site.
